Ah! I am loving Paris. I know people say you love it or you hate it, and I can see why it could go either way. But it's really exceeded my expectations. I feel like there is so so much to do, the architecture is gorgeous on the old buildings, the atmosphere is great, the food is great, the pastries are even better!

We had quite an unfortunate travel day over from Dublin in what was supposed to be a short flight, turned into a 12 hour travel day and a 7 hour delay.... but we made it. We only missed a boat cruise and still were able to have a nice dinner at a place down the street.
The first full day, we went out to Versailles. We spent the whole day in the Palace and the Gardens. We paid for a Paris Museum Pass, (2 days: € 52 ( US$ 55.60) 4 days: € 66 ( US$ 70.60) 6 days: € 78 ( US$ 83.50), we got the 2 day, which is perfect. The gardens had the fountain shows and we had some trouble with the tickets not covering that but it was only an extra $10 and it seemed worth it to walk around the gardens, so we did, and found some fountain shows and fresh squeezed orange juice. Then after a few hours there, we went to a crepe place in the town and had a savory and sweet crepe.
We spent the afternoon soaking up the Parisian music near the Eiffel Tower. The main park/grass area is closed though so we found a spot to one of the sides. And found gelato! And took lots of pictures.
Dinner was supposed to be at Mun, a sushi place on the Champs-Élysées but I didn't have the reservation so we found a little bistro and that ended up being lovely. Some of us went up the Arc de Triomphe for the sunset views. The views from under the Arc were very nice at sunset as well. They stopped letting people up at 10:15pm. It's 10am-10pm and included in the Paris Museum Pass, but you have to climb the spiral stairs! I'm looking forward to seeing more of the city!
