Check out my van walkthrough & video review here!
We spent 3 & a half weeks in this awesome campervan! 6000 miles in 27 days. We visited iconic Southwest U.S. destinations, 5 National Parks, 3 National Monuments, & multiple state park gems!
Read on for a detailed review & pictures.

This van is about 15 feet long, less than 7 feet tall, and handles really well. It's a 2020 Dodge Ram Promaster City with two comfortable seats in the front and an easy pull-out couch in the back. Both side sliding doors open easily, and the back doors stay open unless there's very strong wind!

The inside of the van has multiple storage spaces for big and small items. The mesh pockets on the side doors are useful when the pull-out bed is down. The bungee cord on the wall below was useful for hooking dry bags onto. We put a dry bag of socks, towels, masks, and t-shirts here. We also fit a backpack here and a packing cube of clothes. The two light switches are twist-ons, shown below next to the outlets. These are charged with a secondary battery that charges while driving and there's a screen on the other side of this that shows the voltage available. We never had any issue charging phones or computers overnight, or even while driving. There are plenty of plugs in the front seat too, but those use the regular car battery to charge.

The wood paneling gives the van a homey-feel.
We didn't use the fan much because it's winter! But we did test it out and it worked well to cool the van without being too loud.

The privacy curtains were amazing, the velcro was easy to use and they blocked the light out very well. We put them up every time we left the van to hide our stuff. Most of our stuff lived under the couch and in between the couch and the table in duffles, packing cubes, foldable fabric cubes, and dry bags. We also bought backseat organizers for the front seats to store smaller items and toiletries- a must if you're living in the van for more than a week.

The sink was wonderful and definitely a necessity. It was easy to fill the 4 gallon water jug and it never leaked or moved around. You absolutely need a sink if you're car camping. We stored our sponge and soap in the sink. There was a bucket that you needed to put under the car to catch the water from the sink so you weren't dumping soapy water just anywhere. This bucket folded up and was easy to dump at RV parks and State Park campsites.

The van came with utensils, a camp stove, a pot, a pan, 2 metal bowls, 2 plates, a tea kettle, mugs, a cutting board, a knife, a spatula & butane for the stove. The camp stove was great and the provided cooking utensils were even better. We cooked on the pull-out marble counter space above. It had a hole so you could still reach the cooler even if you were cooking on it and it supported weight at any length.
The solar-powered cooler is so so awesome. It held all of the food we bought- we even brought an extra cooler because we weren't sure how much space we would need and we ended up not needing the extra one. It kept everything cool the entire time and was surprisingly roomy.

The space behind the couch on the left-side sliding door was perfect for our shoes, yoga mat, and foldable cubes. There was even some space behind the wood panel when the couch was up, and when we put the bed down we would just move that stuff to the floor.
I demonstrate putting the bed down in the video, but it was very simple and only took a couple of minutes to move our stuff around and make the bed. We even were able to put the bed back up in the morning without even getting out of the van (if it was too cold).
This is not really an off-road vehicle- we did get stuck in the mud and had trouble on gravel roads, but that's not really something we needed the van to be able to do. We also wish there was more storage-maybe mesh pockets on the ceiling. It may not matter as much if you're renting for a few days or a week, but it would be useful for over-packers like us.
The bluetooth worked very well & that is a big plus, because it can be annoying to disconnect and reconnect phones in the car.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how homey and roomy this little van felt. We really enjoyed our house-on-wheels for 27 days, and I had so much fun capturing the van life experience in photos and words. Taking photos of the van became as fun as seeing the sights!
Thank you to Voyager Campervans for an awesome experience-- they were so pleasant to work with, gave fast responses, and created a great van experience. They also rent to people under 25, which is something that was very hard to find when we were searching for rentals. They have pick-up locations in Nashville, Austin, Minneapolis, & Phoenix.
Also, pick- up and drop-off was so so easy, our ride was waiting for us in a parking lot! Gas mileage was great, 28+ on the highway, and it was cheap to fill up.
I definitely would recommend them as a way to travel around the country while getting a taste for the van life.
