Day 1:
We started our journey off from the mountains of NC, headed on I-40 West, and made our way to Nashville to trade out Courtney's car for a camper van.
We picked up our #voyagercampervan out of Nashville from a random downtown parking lot and headed even further west to Memphis for the night.
The first few days of life on the road always take some adjustment, especially in a van where all your stuff lives everywhere! It takes a lot of reorganization and remembering exactly where everything you packed is.
Our van has a couch that flips into a bed, a sink, a solar-powered cooler and battery. I'll link the website below, I'll do a more robust review and walkthrough later.
We have a Mini V3 van.

Day 2: We hit the road for Dallas, TX. Planned on laying-low here and spending some time getting adjusted to the van life and checking out the local parks. We arrived in the afternoon and found an awesome local park with a public library in Addison, right outside of Dallas.

Day 3: Another day in Dallas! Today we ventured downtown to see some of the COVID-friendly, must-see spots. Parks. And the site of JFK's Assassination. We drove around Dealey Plaza and saw the Grassy Knoll & the Texas Schoolbook Depository where they found Lee Harvey Oswald at the time of the shooting. The sixth floor window is now the Sixth Floor Museum- highly recommend going during non-COVID times. We got deep into conspiracy theory podcasts after visiting this spot.
Right across the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, there is a pedestrian bridge and walking trail. The view of the bridge and the Dallas skyline are worth the trip into West Dallas. We spent a couple hours exploring the trail that runs below the bridges. I was also able to bust out my new camera lens (Tokina 11-20mm f/2.8) for wide-angle shots of the skyline.
We picked up take-out from a cute health restaurant chain called Flower Child. They're all over Texas.
Super healthy, tasty, and affordable.
We head to Austin, TX on the 9th!
