Week 2- Oof time is getting away from me! The days go by so quickly there’s never enough time to do everything but I will try! Let's try to recap from the past week!
Starting on May 20th- I went to my 8:45am class-philosophy-I really enjoy these classes it seems like they try to teach you for the sake of it rather than focusing on the grades and the work, more about the content I guess. When I got out at 12, I hung out at school in the kitchen for a bit talking to people but then walking home I went to Ikea! I think I took it easy on Monday and made dinner in the community kitchen with some girls. We ventured to a bar underground called Bondy Bar with a small group-slightly scary down there, but funny.
Tuesday the 21st- Astronomy class was at 1pm-4pm so I slept in and then took the 6 tram to Old Town Square to get to class. I went to Cafedu behind the National Museum and got carrot cake and a Lady Bird spritzer! The cafe is cool for studying & they have a spiral staircase and a cool view of Wenceslas Square. Early night in & dinner in my private kitchen.
Wednesday the 22nd- Class was cancelled so we tried to go to the zoo but the rain delayed those plans. I ended up going to Palladium, a big mall in a pink building. We also went to a cafe near Zeitraum called VNTRIOBLOCK, they have cool BBQ and coffee. We walked around Old Town and got the ice cream in deep fried cinnamon cones. That night we went to a nightclub called Retro which was very empty at 11:30 because the Europeans like to go out at like 12:30am.

Thursday the 23rd-Class in the afternoon, a nice nap at school, and then a big group of us went to Letna Beer Garden which has sweeping views of the city and cheap cider.
Friday the 24th- Today was really awesome. A group of 8 of us got on a train at 8:30am to go to Czech Switzerland about an hour away. We got to get out of the city and hike up a mountain until we came to a natural stone bridge and a hotel/beer garden under the bridge. We could walk across to the other side for a cool view of the bridge and the German border. Everything was German and Czech so I got to use my German language skills again! The train was cool because we had our own little cabin car too. They filmed Narnia in Czech Switzerland. We tried to catch these boats but we took to long to get down to the water in the forest, but it was worth the hike because it was so lush and fairy-like down there. We got home at like 10pm and decided to go to this club called Lucerna Music Bar. So so so cool, they played old music and the music videos on a giant screen and everyone could dance on the stage in front of it. Very chill place and it was super cool to actually know the music and be able to sing along.
Saturday the 25th-Libby and I went to VNTIROBLOCK and worked on some homework for the day. Then we met up with Casey to go to Petrin Tower and park. The hike up there was super steep and we realized halfway up that there was a tram we could take, we also got there too late to get into the tower but the view of the city was pretty nice. We also had dinner at a little cafe on the top, and walked across the Charles Bridge at night. I realized I really like European cities better at night, I like how the buildings light up and look, no American city gives out that kind of atmosphere at night.
Sunday the 26th-Today! We woke up and went to Phill's Corner for lunch, then went over to Narodini for the summer art market. We then went to the Lucerna rooftop bar that just opened and it only stays open on Sunday and Monday from 3-9pm. We went to another little bar after, and then an Italian place in Old Town. A few of us went to Cafe Louvre for dessert, Einstein and Franz Kafka used to go there because they opened in 1902!
