Here we go again, back to the blog after a solid 3 years. This trip is a wee bit different than the other previous one, this is a ROADTRIP! Michael and I are currently in the great state of New York and we just left Washington, D.C. this morning. D.C. was awesome, I had never been before and I was pleasantly surprised, Michael picked a great first stop!
We had some parking trouble at Union Station, my car is 7'6 and the garage had a sign that said 7'5 soo that was fun. Driving in the north is slightly terrifying as well.
Our first night in D.C. we walked down the National Mall to the Lincoln Memorial. I was surprised how European D.C. felt, maybe it was just all the pedestrians and the metro system but I liked it. The next day we went to the Museum of Natural History and tried our best to beat the 50000 school groups there. The Archives were interesting, pretty casual to just see the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and Constitution. Spent 2 hours in the National Gallery of Art but the modern building. My favorite part of the day was our spontaneous decision to go to a Nationals game. The Nationals won which was a plus!
