After Boston we drove through beautiful Vermont (everyone should go to Vermont) and made our way to Montreal (which is actually France. We took the metro to see the Notre Dame Basilica, we only saw the outside of it because you had to buy tickets to go in. It was definitely worth the walk in the rain to see though. For dinner we went to Reuben's and tried poutine. It's fries covered in gravy, cheese curds, and smoked brisket, and it's delicious. We got to Montreal kind of late so we couldn't go to any museums but we just walked around downtown.

Continuing through Canada we stopped at a Tim Hortons and drive a lovely 7 hours to Toronto. The CN tower looked pretty cool in the skyline when we were driving in. We arrived in Toronto at 7pm, right when the Blue Jays game started. So we tried to rush inside but our tickets had to be printed so we had to walk around the block to a laundry mat and have them print for us. We had 2nd row seats at the game and the roof was on the stadium because of the rain. The Blue Jays won the game but we left a little early to get dinner. Somehow I locked my keys in my car so we had to wait for AAA, which is actually CAA in Canada. We didn't have much time in Toronto but that's okay. We still had a good time in Canada. We even added a stop to our trip and the next day drove to Niagara Falls. The wind was insane there, gusts of like 30 mph.

We added Niagara Falls because we were on our way to Fredonia, NY to see a friend from college. We had heard a lot about his town so it was interesting to actually see it in person. It's right on Lake Erie so they have beautiful sunsets. One guy in that town owns a vineyard and behind his home he built an old time town with a railroad track and like 6 fully functional buildings. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it.

After Fredonia we drove to Detroit to stay at a relatives and finally had some time to nap and relax.
